Which frying pan size should I choose?
20–24 cm pans suit smaller portions; 28 cm is the most versatile size for everyday family cooking. For bigger portions, look at 30–32 cm pans.
Which pans work on induction?
All frying pans in our range work on induction as well as on gas, electric, ceramic and halogen hobs – BergHOFF's product data confirms this for every pan we sell. The hob types are also listed in the specification of each product.
Non-stick or stainless steel?
Non-stick is easiest for eggs, pancakes and everyday cooking with less fat. Stainless steel is best for searing and higher temperatures.

Frying pan, sauté pan or wok – what is the difference?
A frying pan has low, sloped sides for frying and searing. A sauté pan has higher, straight sides and often a lid for sauces and one-pan meals. A wok is deep and rounded for fast stir-frying at high heat.
Which kitchen knife should I buy first?
Start with a chef's knife of around 20 cm – it handles most everyday cutting. Add a small paring knife for peeling and detail work, and a serrated bread knife.
How do I care for stainless steel cookware?
Preheat the pan before adding oil, let it cool before washing and use a soft sponge. Rainbow marks and stubborn stains come off with a little vinegar or a stainless steel cleaner.
